The Design series was created at the request of the Italian branch of Mitsubishi Electric, where product aesthetics play a key role in market success. However, the striking design has not compromised the strict requirements for energy efficiency and noise levels – in these aspects, Design Inverter remains a leader in its class.

Ultra-quiet mode

The MSZ-EF series features an additional “Silent Mode” that reduces fan noise to just 19 dB(A), making these models an ideal choice for bedrooms and children's rooms.

"I save" Function

This mode allows users to store two personalized parameter sets: target temperature, fan speed, and airflow direction.

One profile is for cooling (or the energy-saving "ECONO COOL" mode).

The other is for heating.

Pressing the “I save” button instantly switches the system to the pre-set parameters, while pressing it again restores the previous settings. This feature is convenient for quickly switching to an energy-saving mode, such as increasing the cooling temperature by 2–3°C or lowering the heating temperature by the same margin.

Unlike standard heating modes, the minimum target temperature in "I save" mode can be +10°C, making it perfect for maintaining a low standby temperature when the room is unoccupied.

Automatic mode

In this mode, the system automatically selects heating or cooling based on the difference between the set and current room temperature. Switching occurs if the difference exceeds 2°C and remains for at least 15 minutes.

Low power consumption in standby

Even when the air conditioner is connected to the power supply but turned off, it consumes minimal energy. The MUZ-EF VG outdoor units feature a special circuit system that disconnects power circuits when the unit is idle, significantly reducing standby power consumption.

Bactericidal silver ion filter

The filter used in MSZ-EF VGK contains silver particles with antibacterial properties. Silver ions prevent bacterial growth and destroy harmful microorganisms by disrupting their biological processes. The effectiveness of this filtration system has been confirmed by the Japanese institute "BOKEN Quality Evaluation Institute".

It is recommended to replace the filter once a year. The optional replacement part is MAC-2370FT-E.
