Solid fuel boiler KRONAS ALMAX D 12 kW

The modern Almax Class D (KTH) solid fuel boilers are an updated series of residential and industrial units that feature a simple and efficient design. The entire product range is distinguished by high operational characteristics, with models ranging from 12 kW to 97 kW in power.
Reliable solid fuel boilers must be connected to an electricity source. To make the equipment independent of electricity, a mechanical draft regulator can be used.
Construction Features of Almax Class D Boilers
The Almax Class D (KTH) 12-97 kW boiler is built from European-grade heat-resistant steel, creating a durable welded assembly. All units are corrosion-resistant due to the stainless properties of the steel and the protective paint layer on the outer walls.
Key components of the boiler include:
- A spacious combustion chamber, with volume varying based on the model’s power.
- A four-pass convection heat exchanger for efficient heat exchange.
- Combined grate elements, designed to load solid fuel for the combustion process.
- A fitting required for mounting a safety valve or a safety group. Additionally, there’s a separate fitting for quick water drainage.
- Necessary service doors for maintenance access: loading doors, cleaning doors for the convection section, and inspection doors for the grates and ash chamber.
- The unit is adaptable for installing a pellet burner. For this, the cast iron grates installed on the heat exchange pipes need to be removed.
The Almax Class D boiler, equipped with a steel heat exchanger, includes a controller for constant water temperature measurement. Based on this data, the fan operation is regulated.
Key Advantages of Almax Class D
The Almax Class D series boilers are equipped with a reliable and functional automation block, along with a fan, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the equipment.
The main advantages include:
- The ability to select the optimal model based on the required power and heated area.
- High efficiency, with values of 86% and higher.
- The possibility to operate the boiler without electricity by using a mechanical draft regulator.
- Efficient heat exchange through a multi-pass convection heat exchanger, ensuring high-quality heat extraction.
- The modern model series is equipped with a fan and a microprocessor control unit from a Polish brand.
- Secondary air nozzles are positioned around the entire combustion chamber.
- Double thermal insulation of the doors with heat shields.
- A stylish and aesthetic appearance.
- The option to retrofit the unit into a full pellet boiler by purchasing a burner, auger, and hopper.
- The heat exchanger and boiler body are made from 6 mm thick European heat-resistant steel. The external casing has both decorative protection and 5 cm of thermal insulation.
Operation of Almax Class D Boilers
The Almax Class D (KTH) long-burning boilers are versatile and can be installed in residential, commercial, industrial, and other spaces. The heated area ranges from 60 to 1000 m².
These units are designed for rooms and buildings with a central heating system. Suitable fuels include:
- Wood
- Coal (brown, anthracite)
- Fuel briquettes (sawdust and peat)
- Peat blocks
- Woodworking waste
The boiler’s design ensures high operational efficiency, even when using low-calorie types of solid fuel. The highest efficiency is achieved when burning anthracite coal.
The Almax Class D series offers an economical and reliable solution for heating, combining efficiency, convenience, and a long service life.
