The d 50 PN10 compression ball valve is a reliable shut-off fitting for applications where you need high water flow and confident main-line isolation without complex installation. This model mounts on high-density polyethylene pipe (PEHD/HDPE) Ø50 mm and features a 1 1/2” female threaded outlet. This size is commonly selected for cold-water distribution nodes, irrigation mains, pump piping, manifolds, and irrigation systems—where stable delivery matters and you need to quickly isolate a section of the network.

The ball mechanism provides straightforward, efficient control: turning the handle switches the valve between full-bore flow and complete shut-off. Ball-valve design is widely regarded as one of the most dependable for tight sealing—when closed it helps prevent leaks and water loss, and when open it allows free flow without unnecessary restrictions. For irrigation, this is particularly convenient: you can shut off a specific watering zone, service a filter, replace nozzles or a pipeline section, or carry out repairs without stopping the entire system.

The compression (clamp) connection is designed for fast installation on HDPE pipe: the valve is secured by uniform compression, creating a tight joint without welding and without special tools. This is ideal for on-site installation—in chambers, caissons, distribution boxes, or outdoor runs—where speed and predictable results are essential. The polyethylene body is corrosion-resistant and withstands many external chemical influences, so the valve remains reliable in high humidity, soil contact, and changing outdoor conditions where metal components often require replacement.

The valve is rated PN10 (up to 10 bar) with a maximum working temperature of up to 40 °C, which fits cold-water systems and most medium-pressure irrigation networks. It is compatible with standard fittings used in water systems, making it easy to integrate into an existing line or design into a new assembly. With correct installation, it is built for long-term service—around 20 years on average.

Installation and start-up: mount the valve on a clean, straight section of HDPE pipe following the flow-direction arrow. Tighten firmly but do not over-torque to avoid thread damage. Before commissioning, check all joints for leaks. During pressure testing, keep the valve closed; when first introducing water, slightly open it to reduce the risk of joint movement in networks with compression connections.
